CLAAS Increases Stake in E-FARM

CLAAS has been involved in the Hamburg start-up E-FARM for a year now. The digital company has developed an online platform which maps and safeguards the complete marketing process for used agricultural machinery.

CLAAS is now increasing its minority shareholding with a view to supporting the further development of the platform's product range and pressing forward with its international expansion.

Reliable used machinery trade continues to grow

E-FARM, as an online service provider, offers buyers and dealers an extensive service: In addition to providing customer-oriented advice, those involved will primarily benefit from a smooth and secure purchase process, even beyond national borders. E-FARM trades in used agricultural machinery from all brands and manufacturers. E-FARM organises inspections of used agricultural machinery, purchase, transport and eventual delivery, predominantly on the European market. This unique package is rounded off by a guarantee on used machines. All measures ensure that both buyers and sellers can trade in used machinery in a completely secure manner. “CLAAS is consistently and successfully pursuing its investments in young, dynamic companies by increasing its minority shareholding and setting a further milestone in the professional used machinery market”, explains Thomas Böck, CEO of the CLAAS Group.

CLAAS has been an active player in the used machinery market for many years. “All of our own dealers in France, Great Britain and Italy have already started using E-FARM to offer used agricultural machinery on an international scale”, says Dr. Philipp Eustermann, CFO Region Western Europe CLAAS Global Sales. “The Group's further investment in E-FARM is primarily aimed at promoting the development of digital sales processes and supporting dealers in the international marketing of used equipment. This partnership also gives us access to new markets and customer groups”.
