Press release

Dr. Emmanuel Siregar to succeed Gerd Hartwig

Dr. Emmanuel Siregar is to replace Gerd Hartwig as Executive Director of the CLAAS Group, Human Resources, as of 1st April 2018. Gerd Hartwig, who is retiring, joined the group in 2004 after working for Dr. Oetker, Weidmüller and Postbank AG.

He was instrumental in shaping the personnel and organisational development of CLAAS for more than 14 years – both nationally and internationally.

'We'd like to thank Gerd Hartwig very much for his successful work over many years. The long-term human resources strategy and development, the international support programmes and employer branding were all shaped and further developed under his leadership,' explains Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser, Chairwoman of the CLAAS Supervisory Board. 'In Dr. Siregar, we've been able to appoint a highly experienced and value-oriented human resources manager for our family business.'

Emmanuel Siregar studied Human Medicine and Catholic Theology at the University of Münster. After obtaining his doctoral degree at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, he took on a number of leading roles, including positions as Director of Human Resources at Fielmann, Human Resources Manager at Karstadt, and most recently as Managing Director, Human Resources and Organisation, at Sanofi-Aventis Germany.
